its because they have a pool agreement like
on the DC-Boston corridor
you could find a greyhound bus driviing driving a peter pan bus or a peter
pan driver driving a Greyhound bus, or Greyhound bus doing a peter pan
schedule etc
also most other carries will honor greyhound tickets
