I was under the impression that prisoners received some type of assistance getting back home once they are released...whether this is in the form of money or an actual greyhound ticket I am not sure, but I just thought that they got something. Is this correct?|||I know you get $75.00 and a bus ticket home in Michigan.|||$200, a bus ticket, and advice to stay out of trouble. Could you restart your life on that especially when landlords won't rent to you and employers won't hire you?

There is some times more support. The prisons in California are at double capacity. The for-retribution-only unreasonaly long sentences, denying parole for decades, replacing mental hospitals with prison time, and the broken parole system are ruining salvage lives and families, while making us less safe, and costing us $millions.|||I think there's a small amount of money given to them, but it's not a lot and probably not much more than enough to get home. It might be a couple hundred bucks.|||I doubt it. They may give them the money in their canteen. One of the first things they will need is a social security card and state ID. Congratulations.|||i think but it depends but pretty sure
