I bought Greyhound ticket and chose the option in which I pick it up at the station before me trip. It says I need to be there one hour before the time of departure, which is 12:30 am. However, it also says that I need to pick the ticket up during station hours. So my question is: can I pick up my ticket that hour before the bus departs or do I need to go during the daytime?|||i was a regular on greyhound buses after travelling through canada and USA for several months .. u have chosen the "will call" option of picking up your tickets.. the greyhound website lists the opening hours of all stations.. however i found that if we chose to pick our tickets up an hour before the bus leaves then you can end up losing your place in line at the boarding gate as they board first in first served.
so id suggest one of two things..
1. arrive more than 1 hour early as there is generally a line of people waiting to pick up tickets especially for the more popluar bus routes and times. and that time of night they do not have many staff on the counter so it could take a while! especially when you get customers arguing with them or clearly not understand what is being said. you get stuck behind them!
2. if the station is local to you, go in the daytime and pick up your tickets. If you know how many bags you will be checking in, you can pick up your bag tags as well early. If you get your boarding passes early and forget to get bag tags then it is a waste of time because you will have to line up again to get bag tags when you get there at night.

i will be back in canada travelling with greyhound next month and this tie around i chose the print at home tickets .. saves all that waiting time.

hope that helps.|||Clearly, you need to find out when *your* station is open. Stations in big cities may be open 24 hours, in which case, yes, you could pick up your ticket an hour before the bus departs. But stations in smaller places are often open for limited hours - if you count on picking up your ticket just before departure, you may be out of luck.
